BODY:
Whereas, The plaintiff, James C. Cleveland, has filed a mandamus action under Public Records Act against the City of Milwaukee Fire & Police Commission; and
Whereas, The plaintiff has agreed to settle the mandamus complaint in the amount of $8,983.10, which represents attorney fees; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper city officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the amount of $8,983.10 payable to Michael A.I. Whitcomb, Esq., in the full and final settlement of this action, a release of claim and dismissal having been executed, and that said funds shall be appropriated from the Damages and Claims Fund 1998, Account No. 01-013-8001.
