This resolution will approve and authorize the execution of a stipulation between the City of Milwaukee, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the C.P. Railway System for the reconstruction and maintenance of the West Galena Street Overpass of the railroad tracks located west of North 30th Street.


BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 950846 on October 4, 1995 authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a program agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for programming the reconstruction of the West Galena Street Overpass structure of the C.P. Railway System with Federal and/or State Aid funds under the Local Bridge Replacement Program; and

Whereas, Negotiations have taken place between the C.P. Railway System and the WISDOT, acting on behalf of the City of Milwaukee, to negotiate a stipulation regarding the reconstruction and maintenance of the overpass structure; and

Whereas, The WISDOT has forwarded the stipulation document to the City of Milwaukee for approval and execution; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the stipulation between the City of Milwaukee, the WISDOT and the C.P. Railway System, for the reconstruction and maintenance of the West Galena Street Overpass structure of the C.P. Railway System tracks located west of North 30th Street is hereby approved, a copy of which is attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 981330 and incorporated i...
