- ANALYSIS -

This resolution confirms the report of the Commissioner of Public Works for improvements on which the benefited property owner has waived his right to a public hearing. The resolution authorizes the levying of special assessments and directs the installation and construction of said public improvements.


BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted a preliminary resolution determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct and levy special assessments for the following improvements:

S. 6th St. (E/S) - W. Carpenter Ave. to W. Layton Ave. (878-0768-3) File Number 971960: Sodding and grading. Assessable Reconstruction Paving Fund 71-523---211-0001 -- $2,000)

in the 13th Aldermanic District of the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The report of the Commissioner of Public Works has been filed with the City Clerk; and

Whereas, Waivers of notice and hearing from the abutting property owners at 555 W. Layton Ave, 4876 S. 6th St. and 4930 S. 6th St. have been filed; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the report of the Commissioner of Public Works be approved; and, be it

Further Resolved, That said Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work in accordance with said report pursuant to Section 66.60 and any other pertinent sections of the Wisconsin Statutes and in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
