This resolution authorizes and directs the Comptroller to transfer up to $120,000 from the 1998 Common Council Contingent Fund to facilitate the close out of the Department of Employe Relations Training and Development Services Division as an internal service agency.

BODY:

Whereas, The Department of Employe Relations - Training and Development Services Division is changing from an internal service fund to be part of the Department of Employe Relations operating department in 1999; and

Whereas, The Training and Development Services Division must fund its 1998 operating deficit to close out its internal fund status; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that funding of up to $120,000 is appropriated from the 1998 Common Council Contingent Fund (Account Number 09-910-8000) to the Department of Employe Relations Training and Development Services Division internal services fund; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Comptroller's Office is authorized and directed to transfer up to $120,000 from the 1998 Common Council Contingent Fund to the Department of Employe Relations Training and Development Services Division fund balance (Account Number 56-2720-00) to offset operating deficits and to book the necessary entries to close out the fund.
