Title

Analysis
This resolution authorizes transfer of jurisdiction of City-owned properties from DPW-Sanitation to the Milwaukee Water Works.
 
Body
Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works has offered to assume maintenance responsibility for the subject land and buildings adjoining the present Cameron Yard Facility; and
 
Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works Cameron Yard, located at 2919 West Cameron Avenue, is adjacent to the land-locked parcel located at 2931 North Cameron Avenue, which is south of the Cameron Yard facility; and
 
Whereas, This land was once a part of the Cameron Yard facility and has limited development potential due to its location and access; and
 
Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works has agreed to secure and maintain this land and to use it by incorporating it into the Cameron Yard facility as the utility's water meter service facility; now, therefore be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that 1.875 acres be transferred back to the Milwaukee Water Works; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Assessment Commissioner is directed to combine the respective lots into a single tax-key parcel under the ownership of the Milwaukee Water Works.
