Resolution relative to acceptance and funding of the Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel Testing Grant from Rebiotix, Inc.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund Milwaukee Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel Testing Grant from the Rebiotix, Inc. in the amount of $27,000. The purpose of the grant is to partner with Rebiotix, Inc. to perform monthly Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel (GPP) to assist Rebiotix in the development of antibiotics for Chronic C. difficile infection.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Rebiotix, Inc. for the Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel Testing Grant in order to create a data collection system/repository of criminal justice and partner information; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 07/01/12 to 12/31/13 would cost $27,000 which would be provided entirely by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that acceptance of the grant from the Rebiotix, Inc. is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2013 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel Testing Grant:
