Analysis
In accordance with Common Council File No. 130413, which directed the appropriate City department to present a draft listing for City-owned real estate at 1118 North 4th Street, this resolution approves the property listing and directs the Department of City Development to market the property.
Body
Whereas, The City-owned 4th and Highland parking structure contains approximately 8,500 gross square feet of leasable, ground-floor commercial space at 1118 North 4th Street; and
Whereas, The property has been vacant since January 2013; and
Whereas, The Common Council, through adoption of File No. 130413, directed the appropriate City department seek a tenant for the space and submit a property listing to the Common Council for review and approval; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development has prepared the property listing, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, approves the listing for the lease of City-owned property at 1118 North 4th Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of City Development is directed to post the listing and seek proposals for lease of said property.
