Analysis

This resolution approves the City's policy for the investment of the City's general fund, pooled cash portfolio.

Body

Whereas, It is in the best interest of the City of Milwaukee to establish an investment policy for the City's general fund, pooled cash portfolio; and

Whereas, It is also in the best interest of the City to invest a portion of its general fund, pooled cash portfolio in local financial institutions, which qualify as public depositories as defined by Wisconsin State Statutes, for the betterment of the community; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves the City's investment policy which is attached to this file as Exhibit A; and, be it

Further Resolved, That Common Council Resolution, File Number 110650, adopted on September 20, 2011, is rescinded.
