Body
Whereas, The applicant is requesting permission to construct and maintain two moveable patio decks in the parking lane of North Murray Avenue in order to provide an area for curbside dining for two building tenants; and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works (DPW) granted a permit to the applicant to occupy the west parking lane of North Murray Street for this purpose as part of a pilot project to evaluate the possibility of curbside dining within the parking lanes on city streets; and
Whereas, Said DPW permit states that the patio decks may only occupy public right-of-way between March 15th and November 15th and this requirement is included as part of this special privilege; and
Whereas, Said patio decks only legally encroach into the public right-of-way by granting of a special privilege resolution adopted by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Murray Avenue Partnership LLC, c/o Michael Vitucci, 1579 East Cumberland Boulevard, Milwaukee, WI 53211 is hereby granted the following special privilege:
To construct and maintain two removable wood patio decks in the west parking lane of North Murray Avenue for the purpose of providing space for outdoor dining.
