Title
An ordinance relating to the basis for the calculation of building permit fees.

Analysis
This ordinance corrects a section of the code pertaining to general methods for calculating building permit fees to make that section consistent with other sections of the code that set forth the specific methods of permit fee calculation.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 200-32-2 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
200-32. Permit Fees.
2. FEE BASIS. a. Alterations, Remodeling and Repairs. Permit fees for alterations, remodeling, repairs and repairing fire damage shall be computed on the basis of cost of construction, as provided in s. 200-33-2.
b. New Construction and Additions. Permit fees for new construction and additions shall be computed on the basis of building area or costs of construction, as provided in s. 200-33-5.
