This resolution transfers and appropriates up to $50,000 from the 2012 Common Council Contingent Fund to the Fire Department's 2012 operating expenditures account to facilitate the closing of the City's 2012 financial books.

Whereas, In 2012, the City of Milwaukee's Fire Department incurred approximately $50,000 in unanticipated operating expenditures, primarily for energy expenses; and
Whereas, A transfer and appropriation of up to $50,000 from the 2012 Common Council Contingent Fund to the Fire Department's 2012 operating expenditures account is necessary to facilitate the closing of the City's 2012 financial books; and
Whereas, The 2012 City Budget provided $5 million for the Common Council Contingent Fund, of which $2.9 million remains unencumbered; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that up to $50,000 shall be transferred and appropriated from the 2012 Common Council Contingent Fund (#0001-9990-C001-006300) (2012) to the Fire Department Operating Expenditures Account (0001-3280-R999-006300) (2012).
