Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Revised Project Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the Downtown to Bay View Bikeway with 80% State and Federal aid under Federal Congestion Relief and Transportation Enhancement funds. The estimated total cost of the project is $1,971,850 which is an increase of $122,000, and a total increase in preliminary engineering cost of this project is $122,000, of which the City’s share is $24,400 and the grantor’s share is $97,600. Construction funds for this project will be in future resolutions.

Whereas, Project agreements have been executed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the City of Milwaukee for the Downtown to Bay View Bikeway under Federal Congestion Relief and Transportation Enhancement funds, in accordance with the Common Council resolution file numbers 060275, adopted July 12, 2006 and 101096 adopted January 19, 2011; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee requested and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation approved additional preliminary engineering costs with 80% State and Federal Aid under Transportation Enhancement funds; and
