Title
Resolution authorizing the issuance of a street occupancy permit to the Canadian Pacific Railroad Company (or their contractor) for bridge replacement work at the railroad bridge over South Kinnickinnic Avenue, just north of the Kinnickinnic River, allowing occupancy of the full roadway of South Kinnickinnic Avenue between the Kinnickinnic River and a point 200 feet more or less north of the railroad bridge.

Analysis
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to the Canadian Pacific Railroad Company, allowing them to close South Kinnickinnic Avenue between the Kinnickinnic River and a point 200 feet +/- north of the railroad bridge, to replace the existing railroad bridge over South Kinnickinnic Avenue, just north of the Kinnickinnic River.

Body
Whereas, The Canadian Pacific Railroad Company bridge over South Kinnickinnic Avenue, just north of the Kinnickinnic River, is in need of replacement; and

Whereas, The Canadian Pacific Railroad Company has requested the occupy the entire roadway of South Kinnickinnic Avenue between the Kinnickinnic River and a point 200 feet +/- north of the railroad bridge to undertake the bridge replacement work; and

Whereas, The roadway closure is expected to take place between July 9, 2013 and November 15, 2013; and

Whereas, The Canadian Pacific Railroad Company will be responsible for all required traffic control in accordance with City requirements and permits; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the public right-of-way, while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue a permit to the Canadian Pacific Railroad Company (or their contractor) allowing occupancy of South Kinnickinnic ...
