This resolution amends Common Council File Number 120313 by approving revised program descriptions for 3 of the 6 components of the Milwaukee Jobs Act - Transitional Jobs Program, namely, the Department of Neighborhood Services Garage Demolition project, the Department of Neighborhood Services Hybrid Deconstruction project and the Department of Public Works Vacant Lot Clean Up / Emergency Board Up project.

Whereas, On July 24, 2012, the Common Council adopted File Number 120313, a resolution approving the Milwaukee Jobs Act - Transitional Jobs Program; and
Whereas, The Milwaukee Jobs Act - Transitional Jobs Program is a 6-part initiative to create jobs for Milwaukee residents; and
Whereas, Three components of the Transitional Jobs Program -- the Department of Neighborhood Services Garage Demolition project, the Department of Neighborhood Services Hybrid Deconstruction project and the Department of Public Works Vacant Lot Clean Up / Emergency Board Up project -- are designed to permit community-based organizations and for-profit businesses to collaborate to provide various neighborhood improvement/maintenance projects; and
Whereas, Exhibit A to Common Council File Number 120313, which was attached to and made a part of that file, includes detailed descriptions of the 6 components of the Transitional Jobs Program, including the Department of Neighborhood Service Garage Demolition project, the Department of Neighborhood Services Hybrid Deconstruction project and the Department of Public Works Vacant Lot Clean Up / Emergency Board Up project; and
Whereas, Subsequent to Common Council adoption of File Number 120313, the Department of Neighborhood Services and the Department of Public Works created revised descriptions of the Department of Neighborhood Services Garage Demolition project, the Department of Neighborhood Services Hybrid Deconstruction project and the Department of Public Works Vacant Lot Clean Up / Emergency Board Up project that allow for more effective and successful implementation of the program; and
Whereas, The revised descriptions of the Department of Neighborhood Services Garage Demolition project, the Department of Neighborhood Services Hybrid Deconstruction project and the Department of Public Works Vacant Lot Clean Up / Emergency Board Up project are attached to and made a part of this Common Council file; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council File Number 120313, adopted on July 24, 2012, is amended as follows:
1. Section IV (Garage Demolition) is replaced by Documents 7 and 8, which are attached to and made a part of this file and which shall be labeled Section IV.
2. Section V (Hybrid Deconstruction Pilot Initiative) is replaced by Documents 9 and 10, which are attached to and made a part of this file and which shall be labeled Section V.
3. Section VI (Department of Public Works Programs) is replaced by Documents 1 to 6, which are attached to and made a part of this file and which shall be labeled Section VI.
