Title
Substitute resolution relating to the termination of historic designation for 427 W. Juneau Avenue, former Gipfel Brewery, in the 4th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution terminates permanent historic designation to the former Gipfel Brewery, located at 427 W. Juneau Avenue.
Body
Whereas, The Milwaukee Historic Preservation Ordinance, s. 320-21-17 of the Code of Ordinances, provides that historic structures not located in a historic district and damaged beyond repair may be terminated of historic designation by the Common Council upon the recommendation of the Historic Preservation Commission and report from the Commissioner of Neighborhood Services; and
Whereas, The Historic Preservation Commission at its March 11, 2013 meeting, by a vote of five (5) ayes, zero (0) noes, and two (2) excused, recommended to terminate the historic designation of the former Gipfel Brewery located at 427 W. Juneau Avenue; and
Whereas, This structure has been determined damaged beyond repair by the Historic Preservation Commission; and
Whereas, This structure has been determined damaged beyond repair by the Commissioner of Neighborhood Services as stated in the report of the Commissioner attached to this file; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the former Gipfel Brewery, located at 427 W. Juneau Avenue, and further described as follows:

is terminated as a Milwaukee historic structure.
