Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $370,000 with the total cost estimated to be $16,341,000.
Body
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

1st Aldermanic District

W. Hampton Ave. - N. Teutonia Ave. to 200 feet m/l west of N. Teutonia Ave. (SM495120111): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $221,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

W. Hopkins St. - W. Fiebrantz Ave. to N. 35th St. (WT410130012): Hydrant alteration. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $4,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $11,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $40,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

Area bounded by W. Silver Spring Dr., W. Douglas Ave., N. 43rd St., and N. 27th St. (SM494120217): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $1,365,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
