Analysis
This resolution amends a lease agreement with U.S. Cellular Operating Company LLC (U.S. Cellular) for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the Milwaukee Water Works facility located at 3000 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive which was authorized by Common Council Resolution File Number 060861 adopted on, November 14, 2006.

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 060861 on November 14, 2006 approving a lease agreement with U.S. Cellular Operating Company LLC (U.S. Cellular) for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the Milwaukee Water Works facility located at 3000 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive; and
 
Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works, working with the City Attorney's Office, has negotiated an amendment to the lease agreement; and
Whereas, This amendment of the lease agreement between the City and U.S. Cellular for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the Water Works facility located at 3000 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive, allows U.S. Cellular to upgrade its facilities; and
Whereas, The lease agreement offers a fair market value to the City, protects other City interests, and is acceptable to all City participants; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves and amends the lease agreement, identified as the "Amendment Number One to Lease Agreement," between the City of Milwaukee and U.S. Cellular for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the Water Works facility located at 3000 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive, a copy of which is attached to this file, and authorizes the proper City officials to enter into this lease amendment on behalf of the City of Milwaukee
