This ordinance increases the maximum weight limit for a neighborhood electric vehicle from 2,500 to 3,000 pounds.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
 
Part 1.  Section 101-51-2-0 is amended to read:
 
101-51.  Use of Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs) On City Streets.
2.  REQUIREMENTS.  Neighborhood electric vehicles shall be 4-wheeled and have a speed range of at least 20 miles per hour and not more than 25 miles per hour on a paved surface, and have a gross vehicle weight at rest of less than [[2,500]] >>3,000<< pounds.  Neighborhood electric vehicle does not include an electric golf cart and shall have:
