This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works. Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
2nd Aldermanic District
W. Thurston Ave. - N. 91st St. to N. 92nd St. (ST211120183) File Number 111280: Relocate concrete walk. Doing all necessary grading pertaining to said work. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $36,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2012 construction season.
3rd and 6th Aldermanic Districts
Pleasant Street Vertical Lift Bridge over the Milwaukee River (BR100120104) File Number 110924: Moveable bridge rehabilitation including structural, mechanical, and hydraulic components (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund -- $7,150,000). (BR100120105) Moveable Bridge electrical work and material purchases. (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund -- $350,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $8,200,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2012-2013 construction season.

N. Milwaukee St. at E. Menomonee St./N. Young St. (ST211120189) File Number 111700: Intersection modification. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $20,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2012 construction season.

W. Hadley St. - N. 80th St. to 120 feet m/l west of N. 80th St. (SM495120044) File Number 111700: Storm sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $13,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $556,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2012 construction season.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
