Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $83,000 with the total cost estimated to be $295,000.
Body
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

3rd and 6th Aldermanic Districts

E. Pleasant St. - N. Water St. to N. Palmer St. (ST211130142): Bridge approaches. Paving the roadway with asphalt. Laying a concrete curb and gutter. Laying concrete sidewalk. Doing all the necessary grading pertaining to said work. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $18,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $150,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

4th Aldermanic District

N. 19th St. - W. Wells St. to W. Wisconsin Ave. (SM495120045): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $95,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2012 construction season.

City Wide

2013 Sidewalk Program Engineering (ST230130145): (Nonassessable 2012 Budgeted Funds -- $50,000). The total estimated cost for this project is $50,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2012-2013 construction season.
