This resolution grants a special privilege to La Causa Incorporated to construct and maintain brick pillars, retaining wall and fence in the public right-of-way for the premises at 228-38 West Mitchell Street.
Body
Whereas, The applicant requested permission to construct and maintain two brick pillars, a fence and a retaining wall in the public right-of-way for the purpose of creating a soccer field for its nearby school; and

Whereas, Said items may only legally encroach into the public right-of-way by granting of a special privilege resolution adopted by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that La Causa Incorporated, P.O. Box 04188, Milwaukee, WI 53204 is hereby granted the following special privileges:

1. To construct and maintain two brick pillars in the east, 20-foot wide sidewalk area of South 3rd Street. Said pillars are 2 feet 8 inches square. The pillars are centered approximately 3 feet 4 inches west of the eastline of South 3rd Street and 1 foot 9 inches and 57 feet 3 inches north of the northline of West Greenfield Avenue. Said pillars are 9 feet 8 inches tall.

2. To construct and maintain a decorative metal fence supported by the aforementioned brick pillars of Item #1. Said fence is 54 feet 2 inches in length and is centered approximately 1 foot 10 inches west of the eastline of South 3rd Street.

3. To construct and maintain a 1-foot 1-inch wide concrete block retaining wall in the north, 12-foot wide sidewalk area of West Mitchell Street. Said retaining wall, which is centered approximately 4 feet 6 inches south of the northline of West Mitchell Street, c...
