Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File #110709 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the End AIDS Milwaukee Grant from the MAC AIDS Fund through Diverse and Resilient. The purpose of the grant is to address unfavorable social conditions for young gay and bisexual men, especially young African American gay and bisexual men that results in limited HIV prevention information and high risk situations and behavior that contribute to HIV transmission.

Whereas, Common Council File #110709 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the MAC AIDS Fund through Diverse and Resilient in this HIV prevention project This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $50,000; and
 
Whereas, the total expenditures of this program is increased by $25,000 of which the entire amount is provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the MAC AIDS Fund through Diverse and Resilient is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within the Project/Grant parent of the 2012 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects fund, the following amounts for the project titled End AIDS Milwaukee Grant:
