This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Public Library to apply for The Big Read Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The purpose of the project is to engage the community in the reading of a literary classic.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the National Endowment for the Arts to engage the community in the reading of a literary classic; now, therefore, be it
