Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for the installation of a new traffic control signal on the connecting highway system on North Port Washington Avenue at the eastbound ramps on West Capitol Drive (STH 190).
Body
Whereas, Section 86.32(1), Wisconsin Statutes enables the State to designate certain marked routes of the state highway system over the streets or highways in any municipality for which the municipality will be responsible for maintenance and traffic control; and

Whereas, The ramps from West Capitol Drive (STH 190) to North Port Washington Avenue are included in the connecting highway system; and

Whereas, The installation of a new traffic control signal on North Port Washington Avenue at the eastbound ramps on West Capitol Drive (STH 190) in conjunction with the improvements to (State ID 2570-04-90) North Port Washington Avenue was approved and funding was authorized by the Common Council under File Number 110916; and

Whereas, Section 86.32(1), Wisconsin Statutes requires written approval from WISDOT for new traffic control devices installed on the connecting highway system; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the installation of a new traffic control signal on North Port Washington Avenue at the eastbound ramps on West Capitol Drive (STH 190).
