Minutes note: Individuals present: Lynn Steffen - DNS Karen Taylor - DCD Rich Schmidt - Treasurer Office Jim Kajbor - City Treasurer DNS does not have any objections to the return of this property provided the applicant pays $169.91 in litter nuisance charges and $40.00 for a covered opening invoice. Total amount owed is $209.91 Need to be paid by Noon on February 6, 2012 Taxes due if paid in February $30,920.74 if paid by March 8, $31,275.63 The assessor's office also lists Majas, LLC with ownership interest in the following properties: 2772 N Buffum St - delinquent 2010 taxes in the amount of $7,717.99 and the current 2011 taxes in the amount of $7,324.64 4720 W Hampton Ave - with delinquent 2010 taxes in the amount of $17,071.97 and the current 2011 taxes in the amount $12,019.29 Mr. Simms does not own neither one of these properties. Ms. Steffen offer to check DNS record as to see if a new owner application has been submitted. Per Ald. Bohl moved adoption with the contingency that Mr. Simms pays first installment of $1,331.49 by end of day on 1-31-12 and monthly payments from Feb-July of $433.48 and August - October $307.34. Also amounts owed $209.91 owed to DNS. Otherwise item will go back to hold by the call of the chair. Prevailed 4-0 Ald. Donovan excused

Permits return of property owned by the City under conditions imposed by s. 304-50, Milw. Code of Ordinances
Body
Whereas, The property located at 3929-3933 W North Ave, previously owned by Jeffrey Simms, agent for MAJAS LLC, has delinquent taxes for 2008-2011 and was foreclosed upon pursuant to Sec. 75.521, Wis. Stats., and a fee simple absolute was obtained in favor of the City of Milwaukee dated September 16 111216; and

Whereas, Jeffrey Simms, agent for MAJAS LLC would like to reclaim said property by paying all City and County real estate taxes, plus accrued interest and penalties to date of payment, and all costs as sustained by the City in the foreclosing and management of said property since September 16; and

Whereas, Jeffrey Simms, agent for MAJAS LLC has agreed to pay all related city charges up until the point that the property is returned, as well as all charges and conditions which are detailed in the letters submitted by the Department of Neighborhood Services, Department of City Development, the Health Department and the Treasurer’s Office, as though set forth in this resolution; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that in order to return the property at 3929-3933 W North Ave, a cashier's check must be submitted in the amount indicated by the City Treasurer within thirty (30) calendar days of the adoption of this resolution; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Attorney is then authorized to enter into a stipulation with the former owner to reopen and vacate the City's judgment in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Case No. 11CV7456 known as the 2011-02 In Rem Parcel 182, securing the court's order and recording said order with the Milwaukee...
