TITLE
Resolution authorizing the issuance of a street occupancy permit to Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, Inc. for work at the Bay View Dwell project allowing occupancy of one-half of the roadway of South Kinnickinnic Avenue, just south of East Conway Street.
ANALYSIS
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, Inc. allowing them to occupy one-half of South Kinnickinnic Avenue at East Conway Street.
BODY
Whereas, Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, Inc. (Dawes) has been retained to set wall panels for the Bay View Dwell project at South Kinnickinnic Avenue, just south of East Conway Street; and
Whereas, Dawes has requested to occupy one-half of South Kinnickinnic Avenue to complete this work; and
Whereas, Two-way traffic will be maintained on South Kinnickinnic Avenue; and
Whereas, The occupancy is needed for up to two months; and
Whereas, Dawes will be responsible for all required traffic control in accordance with City requirements and permits; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the roadway while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue a permit to Dawes allowing occupancy of one-half of South Kinnickinnic Avenue at East Conway Street for a two-month period.
