Analysis
This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute an amendment to the contract with Harris & Harris so that the contract expires on June 30, 2012.
Body
Whereas, On March 22, 2007, the Common Council authorized the execution of a contract with Harris & Harris for the collection of overdue Municipal Court judgments; and
 
Whereas, The contract with Harris & Harris expires on April 30, 2012; and
 
Whereas, Pursuant to Common Council Resolution File Number 110270, the City Attorney was authorized to request proposals for a new contract to commence on May 1, 2012; and
 
Whereas, Due to the use of the Tax Refund Intercept Program and concerns regarding the possible transition to a new contractor, it is desirable to amend the contract with Harris & Harris to extend the contract to June 30, 2012; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are authorized to execute an amendment to the contract with Harris & Harris for the collection of overdue Municipal Court judgments to extend the contract until June 30, 2012.
