Title
Resolution approving the Land Disposition Report for the properties at 3701 to 3717 West Vliet Street for conveyance to United Methodist Children's Services of Wisconsin, Inc. for development of Friendship Gardens, in the 15th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority to convey said land according to the conditions in the Land Disposition Report.
Body
Whereas, United Methodist Children's Services of Wisconsin, Inc., in conjunction with the Hmong American Friendship Association, has offered to purchase the properties at 3701 to 3717 West Vliet Street from the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee ("Authority") for development of Friendship Gardens, a mixed-use building which will provide affordable senior apartments and ground floor commercial and community space; and
Whereas, On November 17, 2011, the Authority held a Public Hearing on the proposed conveyance as required by Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, the Authority submits herewith a Land Disposition Report describing the terms and conditions of the proposed sale; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Land Disposition Report dated November 17, 2011, with respect to the proposed sale of the following property is approved.
