Analysis
This resolution approves an amendment to the agreement between the City and the Wisconsin Center District regarding medical and dental benefits.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File Number 911048, adopted November 5, 1991, approved an agreement between the City and Wisconsin Center District (WCD) (also known as MECCA at the time) that WCD shall adopt all medical and dental plan benefits of the City; and
Whereas, The WCD has current labor contracts that require the WCD to continue to provide the same health and dental benefits that were provided in 2011; and
Whereas, The City has changed health benefits and benefit design for those employee groups that do not have current contracts or have new contracts that change their benefits in 2012; and
Whereas, The City has the ability to provide the 2011 health benefits and benefit design to the WCD; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the current agreement between the City and the WCD regarding medical and dental benefits shall be amended with approval of the City Attorney to accommodate the WCD labor contracts in 2012.
