WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) solicited competitive pricing for Commodity Parts and Equipment for various HACM locations where Auer Steel and Heating Supply Company Incorporated (Milwaukee, WI), was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the original purchase order was a cumulative amount of $75,000 not-to-exceed, with an anticipated end date of October 19, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the flooding of August 9, 2025 required extensive emergency purchases for the health and safety of the residents within a short turnaround time, prior to this HACM Board Meeting, so purchases have proceeded and the purchase order number 837 change order is being brought to the HACM Board of Commissioners as soon as it was practicable; and
WHEREAS, the funds for these purchases will come from Insurance Claim Proceeds; and,
WHEREAS, this addition of $350,000 will result in a new not-to-exceed total which now surpasses the $250,000.00 threshold requiring Board approval by the HACM Board of Commissioners; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the Housing of the City of Milwaukee that it hereby authorizes a change order in the amount of $350,000 not-to-exceed to be added to Purchase Order 837 with Auer Steel and Heating Supply Company Incorporated for Commodity Parts and Equipment, and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the HACM be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the HACM; and, be it
