Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept and expend $850 from the Target Corporation for costs related to the operation of the Fusion Liaison Officer Program. These costs may include the purchase of training aids, training literature, printing expenses, and support material.
Body:
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
Whereas, The Target Corporation has offered to donate $850 to the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) to assist in covering the costs of the Fusion Liaison Officer Program which may include but is not limited to the purchase of training aids, training literature, printing expenses, and support material; and
Whereas, This donation will assist with the operation of the Fusion Liaison Officer Program; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept and expend $850 from the Target Corporation for costs associated with the operations of the Fusion Liaison Officer Program; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the budget for the expenditure of the contribution; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Contribution Fund-General, account number 0001-2110-D001-006300, and the estimated revenue account for contributions, account number
