Title
Resolution relating to application for the Wisconsin Partnership Grant.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration to apply for the Wisconsin Partnership Grant in the amount of $329,360 from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and the Oversight and Advisory Committee. The Wisconsin Partnership Grant will fund the COMPASS for a Healthier Milwaukee project, which will assemble and make available a selection of health related data on the City’s COMPASS website, and will enable the COMPASS website to fully integrate social, economic and health data. Acceptance of the grant and expenditure of grant funds shall require further Common Council approval.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for Wisconsin Partnership Grant funds from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and the Oversight and Advisory Committee; and
Whereas, The Wisconsin Partnership Grant will fund the COMPASS for a Healthier Milwaukee project, which will assemble and make available a selection of health related data on the City’s COMPASS website, and will enable the COMPASS website to fully integrate social, economic and health data; and
Whereas, The operation of the Wisconsin Partnership Grant from 3/1/2007 to 2/31/2010 would cost $329,360, entirely provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the Department of Administration - Information and Technology Management Division is authorized to apply for the Wisconsin Partnership Grant in the amount of $329,360 from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and the Oversight and Advisory Committee; and, be it
Further Resolved, That acceptance of this grant and expenditure of grant funds shall require Common Council approval.
