Body
Whereas, The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires each Participating Jurisdiction to submit a Five-year Consolidated Strategy and Plan; and
Whereas, The activities in the Plan must be consistent with one or more of the following HUD national objectives: Principally benefits low/moderate income persons; Prevents or eliminates slum or blight; Addresses an urgent need or problem in the community; and
Whereas, HUD will evaluate the Plan using the following three basic goals: Decent Housing; A Suitable Living Environment; and Expanded Economic Opportunities; now therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the 2025-2029 Consolidated Strategy and Plan is approved as attached; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Community Development Grants Administration is authorized to prepare and submit the 2025-2029 Consolidated Strategy and Plan to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
