Title
Substitute resolution appropriating funds from the 2002 Common Council Contingent Fund for the purpose of closing the 2002 financial books due to unanticipated shortfalls in current year operating expenses.
Analysis
This substitute resolution transfers remaining funds in the 2002 Common Council Contingent Fund to the City Attorney Office's Operating and Equipment accounts, the Workers' Compensation account, the Department of Employee Relations Operating Expenditures account, the Assessor's Office's Operating Expenditures account, and the Library's Reciprocal Borrowing account. In addition, any funding not used in these accounts is to be transferred to the Police Department's Salary account.

Whereas, Due to higher than anticipated expenditures, various 2002 accounts have a shortfall; and
Whereas, To facilitate closing of Year 2002 financial books, transfers from 2002 Common Council Contingent Fund are necessary; now therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the no greater than the sum of $24,000 in the Common Council Contingent Fund (#0001-9990-C001-006300) (2002) be transferred to the City Attorney Office's Operating Expenditures account (#0001-1490-R999-006300) (2002); and, be it
Further Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the no greater than the sum of $55,000 in the Common Council Contingent Fund (#0001-9990-C001-006300) (2002) be transferred to the Workers' Compensation Special Purpose account (#0001-1650-S176-006100) (2002); and, be it
