Resolution authorizing the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of money from the Target Corporation (Police Department).
Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of $1,200 from the Target Corporation, to be used to enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of the Department’s Bait Car Program.
Body:
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
Whereas, The Target Corporation has offered to donate $1,200 to the Milwaukee Police Department; and
Whereas, This donation will assist the Milwaukee Police Department in enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of the Department’s Bait Car Program; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept a donation of $1,200 from the Target Corporation; and, be it
Further Resolved, That such authority to accept donations for said purpose shall continue, unless otherwise rescinded or amended by future Common Council action.
