Resolution relative to application for the Lead Pilot Project Ordinance Grant. (Health Department)

ANLS:

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the Lead Pilot Project Ordinance Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The purpose of the grant is to evaluate the Pilot Project Ordinance which will legislate lead-safe housing standards for all pre-1950 rental properties in the Lisbon Avenue Neighborhood and Sixteenth Street Community Health Center neighborhoods.

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to evaluate the Pilot Project Ordinance which will legislate lead-safe housing standards for all pre-1950 rental properties in the Lisbon Avenue Neighborhood and Sixteenth Street Community Health Center neighborhoods; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is authorized.
