Resolution directing the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate West Hinman Street and North 6th Street between West Clybourn Street and West St. Paul Avenue, in the 4th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said rights-of-way in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the purposes of consolidating land holdings.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that West Hinman Street and North 6th Street between West Clybourn Street and West St. Paul Avenue be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said rights-of-way in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
