Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of Neighborhood Services to use at least $400,000 of funds budgeted for property demolition in areas of concentrated blight.

Body

Whereas, A footnote to the 2022 Adopted Budget for the Department of Neighborhood Service expresses the intent to use at least $400,000 of funds budgeted for property demolition in areas of concentrated blight; and

Whereas, The Common Council must adopt a resolution to implement the intent of this footnote; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Neighborhood Services is directed to use at least $400,000 of funds budgeted for property demolition in areas of concentrated blight.
