This resolution indicates City support for the construction of a noise barrier along the east side of the Lake Parkway from a point north of South Kinnickinnic Avenue to East Pryor Avenue in the City of Milwaukee for which no local cost participation is required.
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, The WISDOT received a petition from residents along South Fulton Street requesting that a noise barrier be constructed along the east side of the Lake Parkway from a point north of South Kinnickinnic Avenue to East Pryor Avenue in the City of Milwaukee; and
 
Whereas, The WISDOT has held a public informational meeting to solicit comments on the construction of the Lake Parkway noise barrier at the aforementioned location and there was favorable support for this noise barrier location; and
 
Whereas, The City desires that the WISDOT proceed with the Lake Parkway noise barrier project at the aforementioned location; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City supports the WISDOT construction of a noise barrier at no cost to the City along the east side of the Lake Parkway at the aforementioned location; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City's support is contingent upon the WISDOT providing a noise barrier which is consistent in color and vertical ribbed pattern currently installed along the Lake Parkway.
