Title

Analysis
This Resolution permits the Milwaukee Water Works to extend water service from its main in Wauwatosa to a property in Wauwatosa better able to be served by Milwaukee than by Wauwatosa.
 
Body
Whereas, Milwaukee County, owner of the property at 3236 North Menomonee River Parkway in the City of Wauwatosa, had requested water service from the City of Wauwatosa; and
 
Whereas, The City of Wauwatosa is unable to provide water service to this property and has recommended Milwaukee County contact the City of Milwaukee; and
 
Whereas, Milwaukee County has formally requested water service from the City of Milwaukee; and
 
Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works is able to provide such water service which will generate revenues at suburban retail rates; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works and the Superintendent of the Milwaukee Water Works are authorized to enter into an agreement with the City of Wauwatosa, which agreement shall provide:
 
1.      The City of Milwaukee will provide water service to the property located at 3236 North Menomonee River Parkway in the City of Wauwatosa.
2.      The City of Milwaukee by this action, does not hold itself out to provide water service to any other customers in Wauwatosa; and that
3.      The necessary connections are to be made at no cost to the Milwaukee Water Works.
