This special privilege grants the applicant permission to erect and maintain an advertising sign which projects into the public right-of-way on the south side of East Brady Street adjacent to the building at 1229 East Brady Street, which has a clear height of 9 feet, which is less than that allowable by Code.


BODY:
Whereas, The applicant desires to erect and maintain an advertising sign projecting into the public right-of-way; and

Whereas, The advertising sign is proposed to have a clear height of 9 feet above the sidewalk below, which is less than the 10 feet required under Section 244-10 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and

Whereas, Said sign may only legally be placed in the public right-of-way with a clear height less than that allowable by Code by the granting of a special privilege by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that Harley Paws, Inc., 1229 East Brady Street, Milwaukee WI 53202, is hereby granted the following special privilege:

To erect and maintain an advertising sign to be hung over the public right-of-way on the south side of East Brady Street. Said 16-inch high, 32-inch wide sign shall be anchored to the building at 1229 East Brady Street by use of a 3-foot long bracket. The sign will be located at a point approximately 80 feet west of the westline of North Arlington Place as it intersects the southline of East Brady Street.
