A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2001 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 000508 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under "Fire Department, Firefighting Division Decision Unit, Paramedic Service", delete 24 positions of "Paramedic Officer/Fire Paramedic Officer (C)(I)" and add 24 positions of "Paramedic Field Lieutenant (C)(I)/Fire Paramedic Field Lieutenant (C)I)" and amend footnote "(I)" to read: "(I) These authorized positions may be filled under either the position title of Paramedic Field Lieutenant or Fire Paramedic Field Lieutenant."

Under "Police Department", amend footnote "(F) to read: "Truancy Abatement Grant: Four positions to expire 6/30/02 unless grant funding from the Milwaukee Public Schools continues."

Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 000508 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 8, 2000 – April 2, 2000):

Under "Department of Public Works-Infrastructure Services Division, Field Operations-Electrical Services Decision Unit, Street Lighting,", delete one position of "Laborer (Electrical Services)" and add one position of "Directional Boring Machine Operator/Worker, 40 hp and over."

Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 8, 2000 (April 2, 2000).

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
