-Analysis-
This resolution authorizes a renewal of the municipal intake court sublease between the city of Milwaukee and Milwaukee county for the period of January 1, 1996 through June 30, 1997 on the same terms and conditions as the original sublease agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, the county shall pay to the city $1,000 per month as rent for the premises for a total of $18,000. The sublease agreement will not be renewed after June 30, 1997 inasmuch as the city has advised the county to vacate the premises effective July 1, 1997.

BODY:
Whereas, The parties to this sublease entered into a final agreement dated January 10, 1989; and,
Whereas, Pursuant to Article II.C.1 of the final agreement, specifications for the new county jail provided for the creation of a municipal intake court and further provides that the city may sublease the municipal intake court to the county; and,
Whereas, The parties entered into a sublease covering the time period November 1, 1994 to October 31, 1995 and are now desirous of entering into a sublease covering the time period January 1, 1996 to June 30, 1997; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the municipal intake court sublease annexed to the file be and hereby is approved and the proper city officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the city.
