This resolution authorizes payment of up to $1,448.20 for two positions in the Employes' Retirement System to buy out accumulated compensatory time earned in excess of the allowable 180 hours. --------------------------------------------
BODY:
Whereas, Ms. Carol Berggren, Pension Counselor, Employe's Retirement System, has accumulated 38.5 hours of compensatory time in excess of the 180 hours allowable; and
 
Whereas, Mr. Michael Malloy, a former Pension Counselor-Senior, Employes' Retirement System, had accumulated 38.7 hours of compensatory time in excess of the 180 hours allowable; and
 
Whereas, Mr. Malloy is no longer an employee of the Employes' Retirement System; and
 
Whereas, The buy out of excess compensatory time is a highly unusual and seldom recommended option; and
 
Whereas, The circumstances in this case represent a reasonable level of extenuation; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Employes' Retirement System is authorized to grant a cash buy out of excess compensatory time in the amount of $701.00 for Ms. Carol Berggren and in the amount of $747.20 for Mr. Michael Malloy.
