This resolution amends the disposition of said properties by directing that they be sold to a nonprofit organization proposing use of as a group home for teen mothers and their children.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File No. 970532, adopted on July 25, 1997, declared surplus and directed that the Department of City Development sell 3288 North 7th Street and 3296-98 North 7th Street via the open listing method and no offers were received; and

Whereas, Intercession, Inc., a nonprofit organization, has offered to purchase said properties for $200 with the proposed use as a group home for teen mothers and their children; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to sell the surplus, improved, tax deed property located at 3288 North 7th Street, Tax Roll Key No. 283-0973-5, and the adjoining tax deed, vacant lot located at 3296-98 North 7th Street, Tax Roll Key No. 283-0975-100-2, to Intercession, Inc., at a fixed price of $200 provided that Intercession, Inc., obtains any and all regulatory approvals and permits as may be required to operate the type of facility proposed; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211-2700; and, be it

Further Resolved, That as a condition of the sale of surplus property, purchaser is required to bring property into compliance with applicable building codes within the time specified...
