This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to construct the south sidewalk area and riverwalk along East Buffalo Street between North Water Street and the Milwaukee River with a stamped tinted concrete surface.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution Number 961650 on March 4, 1997 which established funding for the improvement of East Buffalo Street between North Water Street and the Milwaukee River; and
Whereas, It is desirable to construct the south sidewalk area and riverwalk with a stamped concrete surface to match the existing cobblestone surface on the north sidewalk area; and
Whereas, Section 115-24.1 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances indicates that sidewalks shall be constructed in accordance with the specifications of the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, Stamped concrete is not in accordance with the City of Milwaukee standard specifications for sidewalk construction; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to construct the south sidewalk area and riverwalk along East Buffalo Street between North Water Street and the Milwaukee River with a stamped concrete surface.
