Title
Motion relating to the filing deadlines for campaign finance reports and financial documentation.
Analysis
Currently, the Common Council Procedure and Rules requires members to file copies of their campaign finance reports and related documentation with the city clerk by set dates in both January and July. This motion provides that the deadline for filing this information is the same as that set by the statutes of the State of Wisconsin for filing this same information with the CIty of Milwaukee's Board of Election Commissioners.

It is moved, By the Common Council of the CIty of Milwaukee that Article VI, Section 2 of the Common Council Procedure and Rules is repealed and recreated to read:
Article VI. Campaign Financial Documentation
Section 2. Financial Documentation. All members shall file copies of those campaign finance reports due in January and July of each year under the statutes of the State of Wisconsin no later than the deadline established for filing these reports with the Board of Election Commissioners by these same statutes. This filing shall be made with the city clerk. Members shall also file copies of their financial documentation with their campaign finance reports.
