Title

Analysis
This resolution authorizes the City of Milwaukee to enter into Green Infrastructure Funding Agreements, and Conservation Easements, with MMSD and MPS for grant funding for installation of green infrastructure at various, identified MPS properties.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee is the owner of record of the following Milwaukee Public School (MPS) sites concerning which the MPS Board has the duty of care, control and management under Wis. Stat. 119.16 (1m) and (3)(b) and Wis. Stat. 119.60 (2):

· 6945 N. 41st Street, Nathaniel Hawthorne School
· 2308 W. Nash Street, Benjamin Franklin School
· 1601 N. Hawley Road, Neeskara School
· 971 W. Windlake Avenue, Hayes Bilingual School
· 1016 W. Oklahoma Avenue, Zablocki School; and

Whereas, The Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewerage District (MMSD) is willing to provide a second round of grant funding to MPS to reimburse MPS for green infrastructure improvements to these MPS school sites; and

Whereas, Green infrastructure improvements through this funding source will help divert storm water from local sewerage systems; and

Whereas, MMSD requires MPS, and the City as the record title holder of the MPS sites: to enter into a funding agreement for the MPS sites; and to enter, after the infrastructure has been installed at this school sites, a conservation easement for the parcels; and

Whereas, The Green Infrastructure Funding Agreements now needed for these particular MPS school sites have been submitted to this file; and

Whereas, The template conservation easement to be used post-installation, for these school sites, will be in substantially the same form and substance as the template conservation easement...
