This resolution authorizes during 1998 the display of State of Wisconsin Sesquicentennial flags on certain municipal buildings.

BODY:

Whereas, In 1998, the State of Wisconsin will be celebrating its sesquicentennial - 150 years - as a state; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee wishes to participate in the state's sesquicentennial celebration by displaying (flying) state sesquicentennial flags at all fire stations; all police stations; the Fire and Police Academy; the Municipal Court Building; the Municipal Building; City Hall during calendar year 1998; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the display of the state sesquicentennial flag during calendar year 1998 at the locations previously cited is authorized.
