Analysis
This ordinance gives the chief of police and the chief's designees the authority to issue citations for the parking of motor vehicles on unpaved surfaces or in front yards or front, rear street, side street or side setbacks of residential properties. The commissioner of neighborhood services and the commissioner of public works, and their designees, shall retain their existing authority to issue citations for such violations.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 105-64-4 of the code is amended to read:

105-64. Vehicle Parking on Private Parking.

4. CITATIONS. In addition to other applicable enforcement procedures and pursuant to ch. 800, Wis. Stats., the commissioner of public works >>, the police chief and<< [[and the commissioner's]] >>their<< designees may issue citations pursuant to the citation procedure in s. 50-25 to any person violating this section.

Part 2. Section 200-19-5 of the code is created to read:

200-19. Penalties.

5. In addition to other applicable enforcement procedures and pursuant to the authority of s. 66.0113, Wis. Stats., the police chief and the police chief's designees may issue citations pursuant to the citation procedure set forth in s. 50-25 to any person violating s. 295-75-1.5-g.
